The amount of bitcoin in the universe does not change. It does not disappear and cannot be destroyed, only transferred.

Just as the total amount of energy is constant, so is the total amount of bitcoin. To me, bitcoin is the energy of socioeconomic change, free thought, and hope for a fairer economic future for everyone.
