CypherpunkNow, Pop Machine, Mystic Sk8 Cup and work for Paralelní Polis — independent projects where handmade processes meet technology and contemporary visual culture.
I am a visual artist, graphic designer and screen printer based in Prague.
Screen printing is one of the mediums I use to shape several distinct worlds. Under the name CypherpunkNow, I create Bitcoin art and “crypto art” — hand-printed, signed and numbered screen prints accompanied by certificates of authenticity recorded on the Bitcoin blockchain.
Pop Machine began as a series of pop-art portraits. That chapter is now closed, and the project is moving in a new direction, focusing on original Prague motifs and their contemporary visual interpretation.
For more than twenty years, I have designed posters for Mystic Sk8 Cup, the oldest skateboarding competition in Europe. I have also created T-shirt graphics for Volcom. The Graphic Works section presents film posters, skateboard graphics and interior design projects.
In 2014, together with the Ztohoven art collective, I co-founded Paralelní Polis — a three-story hackerspace and home to the world’s first Bitcoin café — and created its visual identity. This was where I first encountered bitcoin, which subsequently became one of the central themes of my artistic practice. I belong to the first generation of artists to explore bitcoin systematically as a cultural, political and visual subject. Since 2019, I have also accompanied selected physical works with animated NFTs.
My work has been presented at Hackers Congress Paralelní Polis and at Bitcoin conferences and exhibitions across Europe and the United States, including events in Riga, Berlin, Paris, Miami, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
