The bankster dinosaurs still control the flow of cash, but they are already counting down the final seconds before the Bitcoin meteorite strikes.

While printing the 42-copy edition of this motif, I also made two artist proofs (AP 1/2 and AP 2/2). For the regular edition, I printed the background gradients with translucent ink because I was concerned that opaque ink would cover the layers already in place. For both artist proofs, however, I tried full, opaque ink — in retrospect, these two prints have a richer and more integrated gradient than the rest of the edition.

It was this very print that hung framed behind Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert when, around the turn of 2020 into 2021, they featured me on their Orange Pill Podcast (the episode Microdosing THE CYPHERPUNK FUTURE NOW). That kicked off my fifteen minutes of fame, and within a few weeks I'd sold out my entire archive of pieces that until then I'd only been printing into a drawer. I like remembering that moment because it was completely organic: a year earlier I'd met Max and Stacy at the Baltic Honeybadger conference, and later they bought a print and some t-shirts from me — I had no idea they'd later bring it onto the podcast…
